  7. I, James G. Stout hereby grant users of "Jim's CDEFs" permission
  8. to use the CDEF code resources and source code (or any modified
  9. versions) in any Macintosh software product, subject to the 
  10. following terms:

  12. 1. This grant is non-exclusive.
  13.  
  14. 2. I retain the copyright to the original source code.
  15.  
  16. 3. That any re-distribution of the source code or CDEFs be in the
  17. form, with all materials intact, of the original distribution.
  18.  
  19. Additional, but optional conditions are:
  20.  
  21. 1. That I be informed of any software product or compilation that
  22. contains "Jim's CDEFs".
  23.  
  24. 2. That I be given credit in product documentation or "About" boxes
  25. for such products.
  26.  
  27. 3. That any Commercial or Shareware publisher of an application or 
  28. other executable code that uses "Jim's CDEFs", donate a full licensable
  29. and upgradeable copy of that product to an educational or non-profit
  30. organization of their choice.

  32. 4. If this package is included in any user group or commercial compilation
  33. of source code, please contact me first - for permission and also to 
  34. insure that the most recent version is published in such a compilation.

  38. My intent in distributing this package is to provide some of the
  39. "missing", interface components in Macintosh software and to repay the 
  40. Macintosh community for all of the source code I have used as learning 
  41. materials over the last few years.
